KSL-GS216 Bottom-Loading Inert Gas Atmosphere Box Furnace with 216L Chamber, Up to 1700ºC
The KSL-GS216 furnace is engineered for advanced laboratory and industrial applications requiring controlled atmosphere heat treatment of large samples. Its spacious 600 mm cubic chamber (approximately 24″x24″x24″ or 216 liters) accommodates sizable materials while maintaining an inert gas environment to prevent oxidation or contamination during processing.
This bottom-loading furnace uses an electric hydraulic lift capable of handling loads up to 200 kg, facilitating safe and ergonomic sample placement. The vacuum-sealed steel chamber with a water-cooled sealing jacket ensures durability and effective atmosphere isolation. Integrated vacuum and gas flow control systems enable precise regulation of inert gas, typically argon, to maintain a stable processing environment.

Typical Applications
Ideal for heat treatment, sintering, annealing, and material processing requiring inert atmosphere conditions to prevent oxidation. Suitable for ceramics, metals, composites, and advanced materials research and production.
Configuration & Operating Notes
The furnace includes a vacuum pump and water chiller as standard components. Optional certifications such as MET and NRTL/CSA are available upon request. To protect molybdenum heating elements from oxidation, continuous inert gas flow (argon preferred) is essential throughout operation. A two-stage pressure regulator must be installed on the gas cylinder to maintain pressure below 3 PSI for safe use. Heating and cooling rates should not exceed 5ºC per minute to prolong furnace life. Minor refractory ceramic cracks may develop over time and can be repaired with alumina coating.
