YLJHP2H Hydraulic Pellet Press with 12 mm Si3N4 Die, Heating Jacket up to 550°C and Temperature Control
The YLJHP2H hydraulic pellet press is engineered for laboratory-scale pelletizing of ceramic, polymer, and ceramic-polymer composite powders. It is particularly suited for applications involving microwave dielectric materials, solid-state electrolytes, and semiconductors where precise pellet formation and controlled thermal processing are critical. The compact design allows operation inside an inert atmosphere glovebox, such as argon, enabling sensitive material handling under controlled environments.
This press integrates a 12 mm inner diameter silicon nitride (Si3N4) die set capable of heating samples up to 550°C via an included heating jacket. Temperature is regulated by a single setpoint PID controller with a built-in type-K thermocouple, maintaining accuracy within ±2°C. The hydraulic system applies pressing forces up to 1.6 metric tons, limited by the die strength, although the hydraulic press itself can generate up to 10 metric tons. Pressure applied to the sample can be calculated from hydraulic gauge readings and die dimensions.

Its compatibility with glovebox environments makes it suitable for air-sensitive materials requiring inert atmosphere processing.
Configuration & Operating Notes
The press package includes the silicon nitride die set with pressing rods, mold release tools, supporting plates, heat insulation plate with mica, heating jacket, copper adapter, and a single point temperature controller. The hydraulic press unit features a safety cover and a dial gauge for hydraulic pressure monitoring. The temperature control upgrade is not available for this model; for advanced temperature control, consider the YLJ-HP2 model. Operation inside an argon glovebox is feasible; contact the manufacturer for feedthrough solutions if needed.
