HTVO-600 Atmosphere Controlled Pyrolysis Box Furnace with 450L Chamber, Five-Side Heating, and ±5°C Uniformity at 600°C

The HTVO-600 is designed to meet the demanding requirements of atmosphere-controlled pyrolysis and debinding processes, particularly for carbon-based materials such as biochar, biomass, and hard carbon. Its large chamber volume of 450 liters (50 × 150 × 60 cm) accommodates sizable samples or batches, enabling efficient thermal processing under controlled gas atmospheres or vacuum conditions. This furnace is ideal for laboratories and production environments where precise temperature uniformity and atmosphere control are critical to material quality and process repeatability.

Temperature uniformity is enhanced by a three-zone heating system that applies heat from five sides—front, back, sides, and bottom—ensuring consistent thermal distribution throughout the chamber. The furnace chamber is constructed from stainless steel 304 to maintain gas tightness and withstand controlled atmospheres. Special insulation materials, including high purity sintered alumina and carbon-based components, optimize the inert environment, particularly beneficial when processing carbonaceous materials. The heating elements are designed for easy replacement and can optionally be quartz-shielded to extend service life in harsh conditions.

Key Features

Configuration & Operating Notes

The furnace includes hanging heating elements designed for easy replacement. Quartz-shielded heating elements are available as an option to extend service life in aggressive atmospheres. Water cooling is mandatory for front and back doors and covers to prevent damage to sealing o-rings. The system supports vacuum operation via an optional KF40 port with recommended pumping speed of 800 L/min and includes a mechanical vacuum gauge. Temperature control is managed by programmable PID controllers with safety interlocks for overheating and thermocouple failure. Complementary PC software facilitates temperature profile programming, recipe storage, and data logging.

Shipping Information

The furnace net weight is approximately 400.2 lb (181.5 kg). Shipping dimensions and weight are not specified.
